Summary

The donations are on top of the approximately $25 million the company has recently donated to pro-crypto super PACs.

The crypto exchange company recently gave a combined $1.5 million to super PACs aligned with Chuck Schumer, Mitch McConnell, and Hakeem Jeffries.

Cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase donated $500,000 apiece in December 2023 to three super PACs closely aligned with the leaders of the U.S. House and Senate, according to new filings with the Federal Election Commission.

The donations were given to SMP, which is aligned with Senate Democrats and Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.); HMP, which is aligned with House Democrats and Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.); and the Senate Leadership Fund, which is aligned with Senate Republicans and Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.).
