The U.S. House of Representatives demonstrated once again this week that any representative who steps out of line and strongly criticizes Israel’s oppression and discrimination of Palestinians will be harshly rebuked and all but forced to make a public apology.
The latest incident comes after Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-Wash.), a senior whip of the Democratic caucus, initially told pro-Palestinian rights protesters at a political conference in Chicago on Saturday that she believes Israel is a “racist state.”
