Freshman House Democrat Cleo Fields, a member of the House Financial Services Committee, has been voting on legislation that shapes the tech industry while simultaneously investing millions in companies directly affected by those laws. Between June and July, Fields purchased stocks worth as much as $15 million in tech giants Nvidia, Microsoft, Apple, Amazon, and Meta, with his individual investments this summer reaching up to $10.2 million in Nvidia stock and $2.1 million in Amazon stock, according to disclosures filed with the House.
