A super PAC backing Democrat Mary Peltola in Alaska’s U.S. Senate race is funded entirely by a nonprofit created this summer whose donors can remain secret and whose finances won’t be subject to public disclosure until long after voters cast their ballots.
The super PAC, Forward Alaska, reported raising $2.2 million in August and September from a single donor, Alaska Headwaters, Inc., according to its October quarterly report filed Thursday with the Federal Election Commission.
